auto racing is a sport is a blog by me, Phil, a second-year student at the University of Dayton. I’m a normal student, I party, and I have good times with my friends, plus I like baseball (go reds) and football (bengals). I created it to provide a different perspective of racing, one of racing reform. I consider it kind of a part time thing. I created this out of anger that came from the split, and the fact that it ruined destroyed my favorite sport (other than baseball) while growing up which was the former CART. I have a hatred for the Indy Racing League, as well as NASCAR’s greedy current direction (no disrespect to the drivers or anything at all). I just wish things were different. My influences really, are the sarcastic but informative blogs Deadspin, Full Throttle, Jalopnik, etc, and other satires like The Soup on the E! Channel. But anyways, I will try to post about all forms of motorsport, like Champ Car, NASCAR, WRC, F1, MotoGP, ALMS, NHRA, etc., twice a day.
